Ted’s is mostly T-shirts now, and has been as long as I’ve known the place. If I didn’t already have over T-shirts, I could probably get more worked-up about this place than I do.
So I did. Ted offered to stay open a few minutes later if I was running late, which I thought was very kind. I found the shop, enjoyed browsing, and picked up a nice Sabbath shirt.
A friendly business with fair prices and fun merchandise. I will be back. I came here today to get my the cure shirt for the concert coming up this weekend, I think Charlie oops introduced himself and he was very quick and amiable to help me out with my shirt.

Worth a detour if you are not in the area and love your old school T shirts. Smallish store in the East Village selling shirts that take me back to ordering similar ones off the back of the NME.
I ended up getting a few for my kids, haven’t seen what I wanted anywhere. Staff are very friendly. Best selection of shirts and Charlie who owns the spot is the nicest retail person ever.

I immediately bought a t-shirt and a pin. I walked out with a smile on my face, after being on what felt like a small journey in time to another kind of New York City.
Just a couple of blocks away, in East village, you find the place were Punk rock was born in the seventies. Maybe it’s not so weird how cool the area in general and Ted’s Fine Clothing store in particular has become.

Got me a Bob Dylan shirt which is my favorite. The owners have real passion for his shirt collection, just ask him anything and he’ll know right away.
